About Us
My name is Trapti, and I’m the founder of Kaura.
Before starting Kaura, I was working with Michael Kors. I loved the world of luxury—how every product was thoughtfully designed, beautifully presented, and made to feel special. But I always felt there was an opportunity to bring that same level of care and craftsmanship to everyday self-care.
The idea for Kaura began much closer to home.
When my sister had her baby, she asked a relative to bring a bottle of Tveeno Baby Wash from the United States because she trusted the quality of the ingredients. She already had the Indian version at home, and as someone who has always had a habit of reading ingredient labels, I compared the two.
To my surprise, the ingredient lists were different.
That moment stayed with me.
I started asking a simple question: why should people have to look abroad to find products made with better ingredients?
I began experimenting at home and created a gentle buttermilk soap for my newborn niece Arya. Seeing how something so simple and thoughtfully made could be both effective and safe sparked a deeper curiosity.
What started as a personal project quickly became a passion.
I spent the next few years studying formulations, testing ingredients, and learning how to create products that were not only natural, but also luxurious to use and capable of delivering visible results.
That journey led to Kaura.
Kaura is a bath and body care brand built around one belief: everyday self-care should feel indulgent, effective, and ingredient-led.
We use plant butters, botanical oils, and real essential oils to create products that transform ordinary showers into meaningful rituals—products that nourish the skin, uplift the senses, and turn a daily routine into a moment of calm.
At Kaura, we combine the purity of natural ingredients with the sensorial experience of luxury skincare, so you never have to choose between performance and pleasure.
